Financial Aid

Saint Francis International School is committed to making Catholic education possible for as many children as possible.

We believe that Catholic education is a unique ministry that has the ability to change lives. We desire make the Catholic education available at St. Francis International a possibility for as many children as possible.

We know that as parents work to provide a solid formation for their children, there are many costs and options that can make Catholic education seem too costly to pursue. This is especially true for families who may be financial struggling.

Our community strives to make Saint Francis International School an affordable option using two approaches:

1. We work to provide the highest quality education with the most services possible at a streamlined cost. To accomplish this we utilize many different resources including volunteers, partnerships with outside organizations, grant seeking, participation in federal, state, and local funding and support programs, and old-fashioned efficiency.

2. We work to provide as much financial aid and assistance as possible. Each year the members of St. Camillus and St. Mark the Evangelist Catholic Churches, the Archdiocese of Washington, and The Shepherd Foundation provide considerable financial support that is used to provide direct financial aid to families in need. St. Camillus and St. Mark the Evangelist Parishes also provides a subsidy to help Catholic familes afford the cost of Saint Francis International School tuition. And, each year the families of Saint Francis International School participate in fundraising efforts that help to ensure that all families can afford our Catholic education.

Required Volunteer Service

We believe that Saint Francis International School is a gift passed on to us from prior generations of parents, sisters, students, and parishioners who founded our community and sustained for generations through the use of time, talent, and treasure.

We are called to continue that stewardship to ensure that Saint Francis International will be able to minister to current and future generations. Because our community requires much more than money to operate, all families are required to provide volunteer service each year to support the school.

Financial Aid for Families in Need

Many families struggle to send their children to Catholic schools and so we make financial assistance available from several sources. In order to be considered for any financial aid, families must complete an aid application (the PSAS form).
